Here is some NEW Information about eBay 2nd chance offer scams and identity theft.
A recent rash of zero feedback scammers have been listing bait cars on eBay Motors and working the bidders with fraudulent 2nd chance offers.
This scam is directed at eBay Motors car bidders, but similar scams are being run under Amazon and Google Checkout to name a couple. Folks – Don’t Swallow The Sucker Bait! Be sure to read my Internet Car Buying Tips Article!
If you bid on an eBay auction and receive a second chance offer it may be fraudulent. Be especially aware if an offer to buy requires the money wire transferred to another party (eBay Agent) or a sizable deposit to be sent via western union, money-gram, or bank wire transfer.
As you can see in the email screen captures below – making contact with the fraudster will ask you to call a toll free number where your Identity will be stolen. Not only will you lose your money – your identity will be stolen as well!
