Here is another fine example of eBay refusing to remove known fraudulent vehicle listings from their system.
Item number: 120925319149. Some scammer has our car, told eBay days ago several times. Stopped one guy from sending him 32k for our 60k car.
I listed ours too read the heading Item number:190687548747. But i guess this is one time that eBay shill bidding is ok.. 🙄
It’s such a sad state of severe disrepair that eBay Motors has fallen into since John (doodles) Donahoe took over as CEO of eBay.
There is really no excuse for running a company like this. And you can just bet the scammers are well aware of what they can get away with. Just like these Low Profile Scams we exposed a while back.
But that’s just the way it is on eBay Motors. Just Beware That Fraud Exists and Do Your Homework!
The Legitimate Vehicles Owner and Official EMB Listing.
Buy a car from it’s REAL OWNER! Don’t Fall For SLEAZY eBay Motors SCAM Traps!
Bottom line here is: eBay don’t care if you get screwed from a scam listing on their website. Just more proof that the only thing eBay is concerned with is collecting their fees.
And BTW: eBay Motors VPP does NOT cover any vehicle over 10 Years of age.
Updated 06/10/2012: Not 24 hours after we published this article. eBay pulled the above scam listing. They also pulled the board post where the scam was being discussed. The cars owner that had posted about having his photos stolen by a scammer received a Moderation Warning from eBay’s forum provider Live World.
Now this morning i discovered not only the Board Post was pulled, but even Googles Cache of that eBay Motors Board Post is bringing up a 404 error page.
eBay can’t hire ONE person to ANSWER the FRIGGIN PHONE and pull Fraudulent Listings, but they can afford a “Cover Up Manager” to request Google Remove pages and cached listing images from it’s search index.
Yea man.. That’s the deal here.. eBay want’s you to think you are safe shopping on their website. If you Can’t SEE the Fraud on eBay, that must mean there IS NO Fraud on eBay! Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact remains that there IS FRAUD on eBay. So just Do Your Homework when Internet car shopping as i mentioned at the beginning of this article!
